The exhibition and its works

Spectrum: Architecture of Lines runs from 1 October to 13 December 2026 at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, Skārņu iela 10, Riga. Eight jewellery artists feature in the third-floor Design Process space. The images here show Una Mikuda’s Wearable Objects (2026) and Māris Auniņš’s silver and rutilated-quartz bracelet (2025).

The JEWEL DAILY perspective

JEWEL DAILY focuses on how each piece encloses space. Mikuda’s curved, overlapping silver elements create volume; Auniņš sets clear horizontal metal lines against the fine inclusions inside quartz. The bracelet’s front and oblique views serve different purposes: one clarifies its outline, the other its connections and depth. Geometry need not feel rigid. It can also emerge from the open space between an object and the body.
