Tiffany at Crystal Bridges: orchids in conversation with American art
The Tiffany Archives · Crystal Bridges Museum of American ArtArchival brooches and a Schlumberger necklace connect jewellery with paintings, minerals and the natural world.

The exhibition and its works
Nature Adorned runs from 9 October 2026 to 29 March 2027 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, in Bigelow Bridge, Box A. Tiffany archive loans appear with paintings, glass, books, minerals and sculpture. Our images include an orchid brooch dated 1889–1893, a Tiger Orchid brooch from 1889 and Jean Schlumberger’s Hedges & Flowers necklace.
The JEWEL DAILY perspective
JEWEL DAILY suggests comparing two translations of nature. Enamel colour and shaped petals bring the brooches close to a botanical image. Hedges & Flowers instead organises a garden into a rhythm around the neck, with rubellite tourmalines and turquoise answering one another. The question is not only whether a jewel resembles a flower, but how a natural form becomes a wearable structure. These historical and artistic objects are not this season’s launches.
