THE JEWELRY WORLD / Exhibition
Jewellery, the body and culture at the Hong Kong Palace Museum
© The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York · 香港故宫文化博物馆The Met’s treasures invite visitors to consider jewellery through its wearers and cultural settings.

The exhibition
The exhibition runs in Gallery 8 of the Hong Kong Palace Museum from 15 April to 19 October 2026. Nearly 200 works from The Metropolitan Museum of Art span roughly 4,000 years, alongside local loans, exploring jewellery through the body, identity and culture.
JEWEL DAILY: what to look for
JEWEL DAILY’s reading goes beyond gem size. The enamel and coloured stones of Lalique’s necklace and Yard’s anthropomorphic rabbit brooch offer distinct design languages. Comparing date, material and position on the body reveals more than judging luxury alone.
