Wallace Chan: Vessels of Other Worlds, from jewellery to space

The exhibition
Curated by James Putnam, Wallace Chan: Vessels of Other Worlds runs at the Long Museum West Bund from 18 July to 25 October 2026. Three monumental titanium sculptures anchor a presentation that also includes the Wallace Cut, crystal carving and jewellery design. This is a cross-media solo exhibition.
JEWEL DAILY: what to look for
The three vessels explore birth, growth and rebirth. JEWEL DAILY follows the shift in scale: observe optics and structure in jewellery and carving, then their expansion into inhabitable space. Shanghai and Venice are separate exhibition sites; the dates and installation photographs here refer to Shanghai.
