Roberto Coin brings back Cobra: articulated links around the body

The 30th-anniversary revival revisits a 1990s design. Beyond gold, diamonds and white ceramic, its defining idea is a structure that moves link by link.
A revival with high-jewellery roots
Roberto Coin’s Japanese distributor announced the Cobra revival on 14 September 2026. The house traces the collection to the 1990s and previewed a high-jewellery interpretation at its 30th-anniversary event in Venice. The new range translates its coiling form into rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces.
The official high-jewellery photograph shows a blue centre stone and diamond-set links; the campaign image gives a sense of scale on the body. These establish the creative background, without implying that all the everyday designs below contain the same gemstone.
Flexibility through articulation
The brand attributes flexibility to precise, individually moving links, rather than simply a snake-like outline. Yellow gold combines polished and satin finishes. The white elements are ceramic: the release compares their appearance to white enamel, but does not identify the material as enamel.
Rings, earrings and changing scale
Ring ADR888RI2714 and earrings ADR888EA2830 turn the links into a closed circle and open arcs. The ring lists gold, diamonds, ceramic and ruby; the earrings list gold, diamonds and ruby. The slimmer ADR888RI2819 ring provides another comparison of the motif at a different width.

Necklace ADR888CL2717 suspends a circular unit from a chain, while bangle ADR888BA2888 extends the pattern around the wrist; both list gold, diamonds, ceramic and ruby. The Isetan announcement gives the two rings a 5 September–2 October preview sale, followed by regular sales from 3 October. This is a Japanese retail schedule, not evidence of a worldwide launch date.
JEWEL DAILY perspective
In the photographs, white ceramic sets up a repeated rhythm, diamond elements interrupt it, and gold borders connect the sequence. Cobra’s identity comes from articulation, surface contrast and volume working together. Images explain the shape; flexibility and comfort still need to be assessed on the body.
