Mellerio Nail Ornaments brings a 1951 idea to the fingertips
Mellerio JapanWhite diamonds, black diamonds and coloured gems reinterpret nail jewellery through an open gold lattice.

The works and their design
Mellerio announced its 2026 Nail Ornaments on 1 October, ahead of a Tokyo brand presentation on 15 October. The concept revisits a nail-decoration idea developed in 1951. White gold supports white or black diamonds, while Tutti Frutti combines yellow gold with coloured gems. Each ornament is sold separately; purchases require a brand enquiry rather than direct online checkout.
JEWEL DAILY perspective
JEWEL DAILY focuses on how the lattice follows the nail’s outline. Black diamonds clarify the contrast between settings and open space; coloured stones create a different rhythm. Moving ornament from the base of the finger to its tip makes gestures part of the display. Sizes and stone counts vary by finger. Historical drawings should not be treated as instructions for fitting the current pieces; suitability needs confirmation from Mellerio.
