Organisers announced on 2 October that the fifth JGTD is scheduled for 27–29 October in North Halls N21 and N23 of the Dubai Exhibition Centre. The trade-only fair expects around 300 exhibitors and plans sessions on trends, brand management and retail technology. The scale figures remain pre-event projections.

Separating the announcement date from the planned show dates

Informa Markets and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) issued a preview on 2 October 2026 announcing that the fifth Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai (JGTD) is scheduled for 27–29 October in North Halls N21 and N23 of the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC). The release was published on 2 October; 27–29 October is the planned exhibition period. The event had not yet taken place when this article was checked.

JGTD is aimed at professional buyers across the jewellery and gemstone supply chain, with organisers identifying wholesalers, retailers and distributors as its main audience. It is also part of Dubai Diamond Week, scheduled for 26–29 October. Diamond Week starts one day before JGTD, so the two sets of dates need to be checked separately when planning a visit.

Around 300 exhibitors is a pre-event estimate

According to the organisers’ preview, the fair expects approximately 300 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, with trade buyers expected from more than 100 markets. These figures reflect preparations ahead of the event. Final exhibitor numbers, actual attendance and commercial results will need to be verified after the show.

The exhibition covers finished jewellery, diamonds, coloured gemstones and jewellery technology. The preview lists country and regional pavilions representing Hong Kong (China), India, Italy, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Türkiye. For brands and suppliers exploring sourcing channels in the Middle East, these product categories and pavilion details offer a starting point for checking the exhibitor directory and identifying potential partners.

A programme spanning trends, brands and retail tools

The announced programme for 27 October includes a session on demand trends based on The Jewellery Trendbook 2028 and the launch ceremony for the Dubai Jewellery Design Award. On 28 October, plans include a discussion on building jewellery brands in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market and the Retail NXT 2026 programme. Technology sessions are set to cover tools such as virtual try-on, tag and barcode systems, and security platforms. These are all arrangements announced before the event; their delivery remains subject to updates from the organisers.

The preview brings together sourcing dates, exhibition halls and discussion topics as a reference for planning a visit. JEWEL DAILY’s editorial observation is that buyers can use the lead-up to assess whether the product categories on offer match their business needs. Whether the fair leads to sustained purchasing and business growth will require verifiable post-event data. This article was independently written from the organisers’ preview. As of its verification on 9 October 2026, the events and programme sessions had not yet taken place.
