Dior My Dior: cannage moves from the hand to the neckline
The collection’s first pendant, introduced in June, appears in August imagery alongside openwork gold, mirror-polished bands and colourful lacquer.
A new position for cannage
Dior released new My Dior imagery on 18 August 2026, presenting the collection’s first pendant necklace, introduced in June. Under Victoire de Castellane, the familiar cannage motif moves from fingers and wrists to the neckline, changing the way light travels through its open mesh.
Openwork and polished gold
Cannage takes its cue from the woven Napoleon III-style chairs at Christian Dior’s first show. The brand describes an open mesh set against an inner band of mirror-polished gold. JEWEL DAILY observes that the openings and continuous reflective surface give the motif spatial depth, rather than treating it simply as an engraved pattern.
Colour inside the grid
The imagery also presents a special yellow-gold cuff with diamonds and multicoloured lacquer. Colour occupies the regular grid, changing its rhythm from the plain-gold designs. The broad cuff emphasises the interwoven surface, while the pendant concentrates the same language at the neckline: mesh, reflection and colour offer three ways of reading the designs.
