Buccellati Torsade: engraved gold and diamonds in a spiral
New Torsade designs debut at Matsuzakaya Nagoya, combining diamond-set curves with Rigato engraving. All eight product photographs and both boutique views are retained.
From rope ornament to gold and diamonds
Founded in Milan in 1919, Buccellati makes fine surface engraving a distinctive part of its jewellery. Torsade takes its cue from rope-like spiral ornament in art and architecture. Andrea Buccellati continues three generations of exploration, intertwining Rigato-engraved gold with curved diamond-set bands.
The brand announced its Matsuzakaya Nagoya boutique opening on October 16. New designs are offered there first from October 16–28, ahead of a Japan-wide launch on October 29. The release pictures two rings, three pairs of earrings and three bracelets, including diamond novelties and gold versions for comparison; the photographs do not establish that every illustrated piece is newly introduced.
Two scales of ring
The two rings give the spiral different visual weight. The wider ring alternates broad areas of diamonds and engraved gold; the slimmer one creates a lighter rhythm. In our reading of the photographs, the fine lines soften the gold’s reflections while diamonds concentrate light along the bends.
A compact spiral at the ear
Three pairs of earrings show wider and narrower diamond bands, followed by an all-yellow-gold version. Paired curves condense the rope ornament into a compact silhouette. The engraved pair without diamonds shows how surface work supplies detail independently of stone count.
Bracelets: texture around the wrist
Two diamond bracelets repeat the spiral around the wrist in wider and slimmer proportions. Complete product views preserve the joining and fastening areas, showing how gold and diamond bands connect into a circle. The brand describes a supple internal structure; a still photograph cannot establish the feel of wearing it.
A third bracelet alternates yellow and white gold without turning each segment into diamond pavé. The two metal colours carry the contrast, making the twisted volume and engraving—not sparkle alone—the defining features.
Nagoya first, then Japan
The boutique is on the second floor of Matsuzakaya Nagoya’s main building, 3-16-1 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Japan. October 16–28 is this store’s advance-sale period; October 29 is the Japan-wide date, not evidence of a launch in other markets. The original retains the brand’s listed yen prices.

何世紀にもわたり美術や建築を彩ってきたロープ状の螺旋状装飾をインスピレーションとした「トルサデ」コレクションは、優美さと力強さを兼ね備えたしなやかなフォルムで、ねじり装飾の柱を想起させる、荘厳で時代を超えたエレガンスが息づいています。ブチェラッティのクラフツマンシップを象徴するモチーフには、世代を超えて受け継がれてきた豊かな歴史が刻まれています。1920年代、創業者マリオ・ブチェラッティは、この螺旋を描くフォルムの探求に初めて取り組み、シルバーを用いた優美な作品へと昇華させ、1950年代にはジュエリーへと発展させました。1970年代以降には、2代目ジャンマリア・ブチェラッティが、大胆な色彩設計によって洗練された表情を生み出し、メゾンを代表する彫金技法を巧みに取り入れて、シルクのようになめらかな質感を生み出し、ゴールド本来の華やかな輝きを一層引き立てました。
