Buccellati Serenissima: Venetian lace in honeycomb gold

Necklaces, a tiara, bracelets and earrings translate Burano lace into openwork gold. Official product views, workshop details and monochrome portraits explain the new collection.
Venice and Burano as inspiration
Buccellati’s official press index introduced Serenissima on 7 July 2026. The collection page connects the Venetian Republic and Burano lace with the house’s metalwork. Andrea Buccellati describes a dialogue between traditional goldsmithing and Venetian art. The house also presents a 2026 campaign photographed by Nathaniel Goldberg with designer and artist Conie Vallese.
White gold, from necklaces to a tiara
White-gold designs combine honeycomb openwork, garlands and leaf-shaped settings. Necklace JAUNEC022883 spreads curling and foliate motifs around the neck; tiara JAUOTJ023695 brings a central honeycomb structure, flowers and pear-shaped diamonds upwards. Earrings JAUEAR023193 extend similar patterns vertically. The official specification is 750/1000 white gold, not platinum. Front and angled views reveal depth as well as outline.

Two gold colours and detachable drops
Necklace JAUNEC022835, bracelet JAUBRA023367 and earrings JAUEAR023369 combine 750/1000 yellow and white gold. Warm honeycomb surfaces contrast with diamond garlands. The collar necklace, repeated domed bracelet units and detachable lower earring drops offer distinct constructions. The detachable drops are explicitly documented by the house. Small gold beads and Rigato parallel engraving connect the designs.

Design references and honeycomb structure
The official page includes drawings, lace references and archival jewellery as design context; not every historical object pictured is a new creation. Goldsmiths use a fine saw to create the Honeycomb openwork in gold sheets. Shaping, finishing and assembly build an open structure that recalls the density and lightness of lace.

Engraving and setting up close
Workshop images reveal metal frameworks, hand finishing and setting. Close views make open cells, settings, tiny beads and overlapping leaves visible. In JEWEL DAILY’s visual reading, the spaces between metal and the diamond-set edges work together: light passing through the structure contributes to the lace-like effect.
Scale in monochrome portraits
Black-and-white portraits of Conie Vallese establish the scale of necklaces, long earrings and bracelets. Broad clothing silhouettes frame the jewels’ intricate patterns, connecting isolated product details with their appearance on the body. The photographs retain their original proportions and distinct viewpoints.
