The partnership with Paris’s Musée des Arts Décoratifs will conserve and digitize a major jewelry-design archive.
Tiffany & Co. announced its partnership with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in its September 29, 2026 Japan release. The four-year project will conserve and digitize approximately 5,000 original drawings and 5,000 archival documents associated with Jean Schlumberger. The work is intended to support future research into the designer’s creative process.
The initiative was accompanied by the private presentation “I Am Only a Pencil” during Paris Fashion Week, developed with scholarly expertise from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Drawings were shown alongside jewelry, including pieces once owned by Bunny Mellon. The project’s lasting value will depend on preserving these working materials and making them easier to study.
